HOLA; A New Companion

HOLA :)

That is about as much Spanish as I have picked up so far. I am slowly learning it though because the 2nd ward is half Spanish and when we go over to their homes I have to try and figure out what they are saying. They sometimes make fun of me :) But that is totally okay :) This week was one of a lot of craziness. I have a new companion. Her name is Sister Murray and she is the BOMB! I am not kidding you when I say that she is totally awesome. She was ETed in on Monday and since she got here our numbers have doubled. It has only been 1 WEEK! i love her to death. She is from California, UKIAH and is super energetic and funny! Also this week is transfers which is why I am e-mailing on a Wednesday instead of a Monday!! :)

So we have been doing what we can that is as close as you can get to tracking in this mission. Tracking down less actives who half the time don't answer and the other half of the time just don't want to talk to you. I know that it seems difficult then, but really it just makes life funny. We get into some awkward and funny situations. I also had the lovely opportunity to have a little girl splash pee all over my leg :) Talk about exciting :) I am doing really well and Nashua is FABULOUS! Literally. The families here love us missionaries and I have grown quite close to them. I am now on my second transfer in this area. I hope to stay for about 4.

We had the cool experience of watching a set of the Elder's we work with teach. Man i wish I could teach like they do. There is something about being on your mission for about a year and being able to just tune into the spirit super easily. They both can do it. I heard from Maddi recently and she is doing awesome! i am super excited for her down there and also Garrett :) I love p-day cause I get a ton of e-mails and letters from practically everyone and it just keeps me going. Today I got my haircut from a member and that was awesome. I needed one desperately. My baking skills are getting better too. We try to use those for less actives also :) I love the atmosphere around New England. It is oober busy yet very chill it seems like.

I have come to a conclusion that I am just always going to be off and on sick. They say it's the missionary way. So hey we just push through it all :) BY THE WAY!! HAPPPPPY BIRRRRRRTHDAYYYY NATE!!! :) :) :) :) I WISH I WAS THERE!! YOU ARE GETTING SOOOOOOOOOOO OLD!! :) You should also write me sometime because I have questions for you. Dating ones. About you. Yuuuuuuuup :) LOVE YA!!!

NEXT: HAPPPPPPY BIIRRRRTHDAYYYYYY OMAAA!!! Sorry I missed it, but I can only e-mail on certain days :/ i hope your life is amazing and I love you sooo much!!! :)

I love you all so much and hope things are going great!!

Love, Sister Boldt

When You Do What the Lord Wants You Are Blessed

I started my week off with just working hard and visiting a ton of less actives. Nothing too exciting happened until about Friday. We went on splits with the Sister Training Leaders who were able to teach us a ton. I was with Sister Calder all day we had an amazing experience where we picked up two new investigators. We had gone up to a door to find a guy that no one has talked to or seen in like a year. Chances were he wasn't going to be there, but we went anyway. When you do what the Lord wants you are blessed. :) So, we go up to the door, walk past a woman and a man, and go to buzz the door when we hear "Are you guys Mormon??" So we flip around and this woman is sitting there and she is like "Are you Mormons???" We replied with a confident yes, and BAM! From there we were able to talk to her and her boyfriend for 45 minutes. At first it started out with them being all bashin on the Mormon religion, and by the end of it, she was in tears and he was amazed and they invited us to come back and teach them all that we know! It was an amazing experience.

My roomies (Hoellein, Wagner, Rainsdon) and I have had a fabulous week of bonding and working hard. We all love each other a TON and today we spent the morning putting all of our beds in one room. :) It was great! We also try to just serve each other every day! President told us he knew that we were all going to be great together! He was dang right about that one! Church is something we are still getting used to because we have sooooooooooooo many meetings. But we have a wonderful Sister from the 1st ward who always brings us food in between sacrament meetings. :) We are so blessed and well taken care of by everyone! I am back to just maintaining my weight even though I should be gaining all the time. I guess I am just well blessed with a metabolism that loves me! :) I love being out on my mission and the people seriously make my day every day. I never though this is where I would find myself in a million of years, but hey, the Lord had a plan for me and he made sure I was going to be where I was needed.

Last fun experience of the week, we were able to get a less active sister back to church and she went up and bore her testimony. She told the congregation that the sister missionaries are the reason she was there today. Not to toot our horn or anything but... Sister Missionaries Kick Butt!!!! I really do love it here, and Nashua is an amazing place to be serving right now, things are starting to happen! We had Zone Conference on Thursday. It was amazing and I am learning how important it is to have member missionary work going. The statistic is 3 to 5 investigators will get baptized if there is a member present at their lessons! Isn't that AMAZING?? I thought so, plus we are moving forward with a digital mission, yeah, it's pretty dang awesome right now. Serving in this time is when the work is going to explode more than it has already! :)

Love lots,

Sister Boldt

Things Are Looking Up

Okay so I know that last week I was kinda pretty much a horrible mess :) But this week I am much better and I think I am working everything out. I am almost positive that last week was just a very very horrible no good very bad day (I hope you recognize that book...) I got your letter, and all I can say is that I pretty much started crying because it arrived on a very hard and day and I miss you so much. So it was the best thing on the face of the planet! INCLUDING Hali's note :) I was so happy!!

Yeah so my reputation apparently is one that I am not even sure what it means. Everyone just always says "You are getting Sister Boldt??? That means you are getting the best!" or "Sister Boldt.. you aren't even going to know what hit you!" On the second that could be because I am a bit hungry ALLLLL the time. I have an even better story for you than the getting lost one! Seriously my companion and I have so many experiences like once every 3 hours :) We actually went to the wrong address... Yup. FOR a dinner appointment. Talk about AWKWARD!!! I love it though!!!

As for the Elders.. I LOVE THEM! They crack me up and I honestly half the time don't even understand how I could love them as much as I do already. They are super hilarious in the way the act and talk with the people around them. I work with Elder Bastida and Elder Brimhall (2nd ward) and then Elder Bennett and Elder Neil (1st ward).

I love you!!!
