First Baptism

It has been a fantastic week with many ups and downs.

Monday we had District P-day with our Zone Leaders at the beach, we had a sand castle building contest, yeah... we won :) Sister Preszler is an art major so her skill combined with my enthusiasm made us the winners! We actually went to the beach 3 times this week, District P-day, dinner with the Garretts on Tuesday, and Dinner with the Garretts on Friday.

We had a Sister's training meeting that lasted all Tuesday up in Boston. We left our place at 6:15 AM and got home that night at 11PM. It was a LONG day. But it was superb. I actually was not bored at all and they fed us some amazing food. I got to see Elder Fabrizio and it seems like he is doing amazing and is almost finished training his "greenie". We got a talking to from Sister Packard about modesty. The most interesting thing that I found from that specific meeting is pretty much everything that was addressed, every topic was something that an Elder had mentioned or asked Sister Packard to talk to a sister about. It was emphasized immensely that we work hard to be as modest as we can because we are working along side many Elders and right with them in the same ward. THE biggest problem isn't too low of shirts or too short of skirts, but more along the lines of oober tight clothes. In my interview with President Packard this last week he told me I looked radiant and that he was happy I was also  always modest in my dress. Way to go for me, right?

Then on Wednesday we served in Johnny Cakes which is pretty much just like a DI our here on the East Coast. It was pretty awesome! I love being there and doing service ALL the time! We also had a correlation meeting where we pretty much overloaded our Ward Mission Leader, Brother Parson, with the news of everyone we have been teaching and contacting. Including Less Actives, Members, Potential Investigators, and Investigators. IT was AWESOME!

Thursday we had Interviews with the President that last from 11-4 and those were pretty great. President Packard is one Amazing man. He takes each of us in and then tells us that we can talk about anything and everything that is on our mind. If we don't have anything then he asks a few questions and then it is done. He really cares about each of us individually and you can totally tell. He is pretty much one of the best Presidents out there! After that we went and taught our Investigator Jovan. He is unique because he has already read PMG twice. Jovan loves the gospel and I had the opportunity to invite him to be baptized! He accepted!!  He will be the first convert in this branch since it was created. It is so exciting and everyone wants to help him in whatever way they can. The date projected will be August 17. We are working on maybe being able to also Baptize his sister and brother who are extremely interested in the gospel! Wish us luck!

Saturday we stayed home all day because I threw up all night the night before. I have been weirdly sick and some days I just have an awful pain in my stomach. But we don't let that stop us! We can't wait to be out teaching others and help them come unto Christ! O(I slept for 8 hours of the day!)

Sunday we continued to teach our Gospel Doctrine lesson and it went well. It was on the Three Kingdoms of Glory, yeah... that is difficult sometimes! Especially when you have non members there who are pretty much "Dry Mormons".. I am probably going to have to get a filling refilled because it fell out Sunday morning in ward council... that is way up in New Hampshire. That was my week and it was pretty fabulous! I miss and love you all!!

Quick Bad Luck Moments: Got Locked out of our Apartment and Sister Preszler had to climb through creepy Stans window, Had to get our oil changed and tires rotated - got lost, I got locked in the bathroom for 15 minutes (our house is kinda really old), Our dryer shrinks everything so Sister Preszler's new shirt is now my size instead of hers, it is so humid outside that my clothes are all constantly moist :) Despite all of that we love the work we are doing and are working hard!

I love you Family and will write next MONDAY!!!

Love Sister Boldt

P.S. Adina seems awesome!!
